Ruth has over fifteen years experience in digital design and development, where she excels with her broad range of skills in different areas of technology.

She now works with established companies, startups and artists to help realise their creative concepts.

Having worked in creative agencies, media companies, telecommunications and startups, Ruth boasts a vast range of experience. Starting her career in design and front end development, her education and skills in electronics, music technology and computer arts led her comfortably into research and development, where she consulted and managed both within her team and elsewhere within the wider business.

Ruth specialises in creative development; audio, data visualisation, animation and 3D and is a recognised Google Developer Expert in Web Technologies. As well as designing and developing she has managed projects and other developers. She is a keynote speaker, runs workshops and has been teaching on an adult course for over four years. Her most recent work has found her technical writing for Mozilla Developer Network (MDN), the industry leading web documentation platform.

Primary skills include HTML, CSS, JavaScript, hardware and design. She is a seasoned conference speaker and technical writer. Her other experience includes user experience, accessibility, user testing, branding, as well as setting and managing coding standards. She has worked with backend systems running Node, PHP, Ruby, SQL and MongoDB.
